My music often starts like a piece of “Process Art” where I confine myself to a rule set or interesting connection and improvise from there.
The songs on my albums are typically performed in one take with little post processing.
Das Anthropozän - released Feb 2019
This album began by reaching out to friends who work in various scientific fields for the names of their published work to use as inspiration for the songs on this album. Each track is named after one of these papers and the patch which synthesized the tracks were built up in some way to reflect the topic covered by the paper. There are a wide range of sciences reflected on the album from the study of ants to the formation of stars which is why I titled the album “Das Anthropozän” to highlight the breadth of human endeavors.
